Our Story
The Holy Christian Church International (THCCI) began as a small gathering of believers with a deep hunger for holiness and a commitment to the apostolic faith and by God’s grace, became a spiritual family with global impact. Yet from the very beginning, the heartbeat of this ministry has never been buildings, programs, or titles—it has been people wholly given to the Lord Jesus Christ.
In 2000, Archbishop Wayne R. Felton and a faithful band of saints set their hearts on establishing a church rooted in prayer, holiness, and the full power of Pentecost. In those early days, worship gatherings carried the raw simplicity of faith and the fire of the Holy Spirit. Meeting first in homes, rented spaces, and humble beginnings, these people called upon the name of the Lord, believing He would build His church.
Looking back from 2025, it is almost impossible to imagine how small the seed was when it was first planted. In those days, the Twin Cities were rapidly changing, neighborhoods were shifting, and families were facing new challenges. Yet God saw fit to raise up a holy people who would shine His light, proclaim His Word, and embody His Kingdom in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and beyond.
By the time THCCI was established as an international communion, congregations were already forming connections across states and nations. Ministries of teaching, worship, missions, and community care expanded with a vision larger than any one local church. Stories of deliverance, healing, and salvation testify that this was not man’s doing but the Lord’s. Archbishop and his wife Deondra Felton labored tirelessly behind the scenes, along with countless saints here at THCCI who have prayed, served, and sacrificed in quiet faithfulness—ensuring that the Word of God would not only be heard, but lived.
Over these 25 years, thousands have been touched by the ministry of this church. Pastors, teachers, missionaries, and lay believers have been trained and sent forth. Our annual Holy Convocation now gathers the faithful from across the nation and abroad, visibly demonstrating the reach and witness of this body. Each time saints travel, serve, and sacrifice to join together, we see again that THCCI is far more than an organization—it is a communion of holy people bound by covenant love.
As we look back, we see the hand of God guiding, correcting, strengthening, and enlarging us. As we look forward, we are confident that He who began this work will be faithful to complete it. Our story is, above all, the story of our faithful God.
